Siphon is my go-to study and breakfast spot in Houston. Not only is all the staff incredibly friendly, but everything on their menu (both drinks and food) is always delicious. And when it’s warm out, there’s nowhere nicer to be than their tree covered outside seating to the side of the coffee shop!

Chill, relaxing neighborhood cafe. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, high quality coffee with wide variety of options. Baked goods are only $2 after 5pm. All the muffins are delicious. Strawberry/ orange cream/ blueberry were all good. Bathrooms being clean towards end of the day is also a big plus for me. Will be back to work or just hang out with friends.

Coffee fabulous, staff super friendly. Eggs on huevos rancheros not OE, tortilla so hard and overcooked I could hardly cut with knife, ‘red’ sauce more like a gravy, but it was tasty. No potato or chips, super overpriced. I’ll be back because of the staff (so friendly) and try the empanadas.

Got a cortado and a Cubano and both drinks were perfect drinkable temperature and fantastic!! Great baristas and fast service even with the place being packed on a Sunday afternoon. Can't wait to get back and get drinks to drink in the cafe next time. Thanks again!

Really cool vibes with amazing furniture and a great overall atmosphere. It’s a busy spot, which makes sense because it’s super convenient for studying or socializing. The sandwich was really good, and the coffee is artisan-level quality. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Delicious espresso, indoor and outdoor seating. It would definitely get a repeat visit from me if I lived here. Espresso service was a little slow but the place was packed which is a good sign. It means people are drinking the coffee. The barista apologized but it really was no thing. Love you Siphon!

Smallish cozy atmosphere with couches and tables to choose from. Some outdoor seating available. Nice selection of drinks and treats, even some sandwiches. Chocolate chip cookie was delicious warmed up. I chose the Baristas choice and was given a delicious iced coffee concoction. I would make an effort to come back.

I happened to come across Siphon Coffee while driving and decided to stop in — and I’m really glad I did. I ordered a hot coffee and let the barista choose for me, which turned out to be a great decision. The coffee was smooth, well-balanced, and genuinely enjoyable from the first sip to the last. The atmosphere stood out just as much as the drink. The vibe inside is calm and welcoming, with soft piano music playing in the background that makes you feel completely at ease. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, think, or just enjoy the moment. Hosea at the front was especially friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great service, great coffee, and an overall peaceful environment. I’ll definitely be back.

So, as someone who travels all the time for work, I’ve seen a lot of coffee shops around the world, but Siphon in Houston really blew me away. Raul and Alexander were just fantastic—genuinely some of the warmest, most welcoming guys I’ve met in any café. The atmosphere is awesome, and I can’t recommend this place enough—just top-notch all around!
